This 14-page A4 composition checklist booklet provides prompts, detailed pages on rhythm & metre, melody, harmony & tonality, structure, instrumentation, texture and developing ideas, plus a ‘final checks’ section.

What does the resource include?

The Composition Checklist Booklet can be downloaded and printed (colour or black & white) for music students. It includes:

  • Rhythm: 6 rhythmic devices with examples
  • Harmony & tonality: 2 pages on chords, cadences, changing key, added note chords & pedal notes.
