About this course

Do you want to learn to make a musical impact in just a few bars? Are you ready to start composing for more than one instrument?

In this course I’ll show you how to compose an effective basic fanfare and then how to take it to the next level through extending and developing your musical ideas.  We’ll listen to some fantastic fanfares, apply the characteristic features to our own compositions and learn to write music with a flourish!

This course is aimed at KS3 (11-14 years) and GCSE (or equivalent; 14-16 years) students.
