Have you been trying to write a song but don’t know how to get started? Or perhaps you’ve started but are stuck with developing your ideas…

Do you want to learn to tell a story through music?

In this course I’ll show you how to find lyrics, set them to music, devise a chord sequence and develop your ideas into a structured pop song.  We’ll listen to some fantastic examples, explore the defining features of the pop ballad and get practical with composing some great music.

This course is aimed at GCSE (or equivalent) students, but there are some advanced techniques included which would be relevant for A level (or equivalent) musicians.
